How It All Started…
Dog Gone Crazy started in 1966 having horses on the property. Eventually, dog kennels were constructed over the years. The property was sold and became Sheerdeen Kennels. After decades of operating, the owners decided it was time to retire. With a love of pets and a strong foundation in management, Sandra Jenkins purchased an Sheerdeen Kennels in 2011 in Medina and made it not only her home, but also the place where her passion for animals could be realized.
Dog Gone Crazy was born out of Sandra’s love of dogs and cats. She and her husband, along with their own two dogs, resided on the six-and-a-half-acre property, which boasts accommodations for over 100 dogs and cats.
They nurtured and grew the business as they nurtured and cared for their many furry customers. Building long-lasting relationships with so many, they really became like extended family. Their reputation of excellent care and attention along with impeccably clean and well managed facilities set them above the rest.
They were soon found to be a preferred source for daycare and boarding by many satisfied pet owners and their furry friends. They really created a great thing in Dog Gone Crazy and set a whole new standard in the industry.
Today, we are proud to build upon the foundation that Mrs. Sandra established in 2011 as we continue the vision and mission of Dog Gone Crazy. While remaining committed to the exceptional care, compassion, and attention to detail that our customers have come to trust, we are also excited to invest in the future of our community and their pets.
With the addition of new buildings and expanded facilities, Dog Gone Crazy is growing to offer even more opportunities for dogs to learn, play, and thrive. Our enhanced services now include supervised group play, expanded professional training programs, and additional space designed to provide a safer, more enriching experience for every dog in our care.
As we continue to grow, our promise remains the same: to deliver outstanding care while constantly improving our facilities and services to better serve our customers and their four-legged family members.
